Northern California FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Tournaments, like all FIRST events, are Free and Open to the public!
All Qualifier tournaments are in November
All Championship tournaments are scheduled December to March
A goal of the FLL program is to show that science and engineering can be exciting and fun by providing a spectator-friendly environment that has the feel of a sporting event combined with a rock concert! Learn more about FIRST, the FLL program, how to get started in NorCal FLL, what is the challenge and details for the annual Challenge details (released in late August).
If you do plan to attend an event, we recommend coming in time for the Opening Ceremony (usually at 9am) and then spending some time visiting the pit areas and asking teams about their project and their LEGO robot and then watching the robot game rounds. Our teams, volunteers, and tournament staff are friendly and will be happy to answer your questions!
We are working with each of our qualifier organizers to get a website pulled together with details such as an overall schedule and address and directions to the tournament location. The qualifier and championship locations are generally published starting in late August / early September.
We also have many roles to contribute as a volunteer! We have a big need each year for adults (not associated with any team due to conflict of interest) willing to be a game referee or a judge. Interested? Learn more.
